About
Households of Prayer are weekly Christian gatherings of Church of the Intercessor members, friends and neighbors, who gather together in homes one day a week to seek God’s blessings for our families and friends, neighborhoods and towns, the Church, the nation and the world. In prayer, we look to our Father for these blessings through His Son and yield to His power working in and through us to this end.
HOP groups also participate together in planned home bible studies and discussions on such edifying topics as finances, marriage, evangelism, fellowship and more, even as they build relationships by meeting together on a regular basis.
Church members are encouraged to join a HOP near where they live but are welcome at any of the weekly gatherings, and may also start a new HOP home group with pastoral direction and encouragement. All Intercessor members are encouraged to attend the monthly gathering at the Cathedral every First Wednesday of the month.
We begin with prayer, we’re moved to care, and led to share the love that God has made known to us in His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
